it's a lemon
I was ready to really love this pda. It's nice and thin, feels good in the hand and was the cheapest PDA with wireless. I mainly needed it to check my email when i'm out and about.
Works as designed...mostly
It does everything they sayt it does. My only quibbles keeping this from 5 star status is Windows Media Player insists on loading media into the small internal memory rather than my 1 gb sd card. And the wireless occasionally does not connect to my access point, dropping th ewep key settings when it doesnt connect right away. One other flaw is the terrible IR range.
Bravo!
This is an extraordinary, cute and very well priced pocket PC which I am sure you will also love once you take it in your hands. It offers various operations and is small enough to put it in your pocket. I am very, very satisfied with it and I want to congratulate HP for yet another great product!

My black Macbook
This is my 2nd Mac laptop, my first being a 14' white iBook that served me very well for 2+ years. This new Macbook pretty well addresses all of my "small" wishes and complaints with the iBook I had. Love the sleek black profile and lightness, and especially the glossy screen that's VERY wide versus very TALL. Most anything you may wish to watch these days via iTunes or DVD movies, etc are formatted wide anyway. The keys are GREAT.. durable and low-form-fitted towards the base of the machine. They barely click when used. I do not like to hear a "tap tap tappity" when folks are on their keyboards, even myself! :D Everything looks good on this monitor.
Great Product and Great Rebate
Based on all the previous reviews, you can tell this is a great laptop.I just wanted to comment on how good Amazon was on processing the rebate.I have just about given up on products that offer rebates (i.e. I either miss the UPC Code, the receipt wasn't the original, etc.).However, Amazon provided constant updates and the check arrived in the time frame given by Amazon.I am glad I bought this product through Amazon and would trust them again with a product offering a rebate.
Awesome notebook... just don't buy it from Amazon.
I bought this MacBook to replace a 12" PowerBook G4 that died on me a few months ago, and let me just say - I absolutely love it. The black is SLEEK, and the performance is great.

Great value - dump your inkjet and save money per page
Went out and got one of these from Staples (an Amazon partner ahem) on special for ninety nine bucks. For that, it's a great deal. I use it on my computer running Ubuntu Linux (Dapper Drake 6.02) and it works great. Had to figure out how to use foo2zjs (foo2zjs dot rkkda dot com has the perfect workable answer to installation...I donated a few dollars for the help), but once you follow the instructions and load that all-important firmware, you are in business, even allowing you to set the printer to toner-saver mode, etc.
Horrible service when the product doesn't work
I must have got a lemon, because all the googling in the world doesn't help me with my problem. My printer goes to sleep mode and never wakes up, even after a cold restart (I'm using WinXP Pro SP2).Print jobs live indefinitely in the spooler and half the time need to be removed by restarting the spooler service. No one else seems to have the problem. However in debugging the issue, I've had to go through 4 online chat sessions with HP, totalling almost 6 hours, each session being less useful than the previous.I've tried different USB cables, different hubs, different ports, different drivers, and different computers.I've tried printing directly, bypassing the spooler, and various print processor options. All at their recommendation and assurance that it would fix the problem (they must have scripted responses they copy/paste into the chat because all the English and grammar is consistently bad).
Outstanding value printer!
Bought this model today. Light, compact and blazing fast, with razorsharp text/images and dense opaque blacks. I got it to print my black line artwork illustrations and occasional text. I compared it to the comparably priced Brother models, and chose the HP for one reason; the drum is part of the toner cartridge versus the Brother, which requires their separate drum part replaced after 10,000 prints. The Brother drum is pricey, costing more than the printer. So I went with the HP with its 10 dollar higher cartridge, but no prospect of expensive drum replacement.

Terrific Desktop, Great Value, Very Stable O/S
First- let's start with the fact that we converted to Mac's in our office 2 years ago, and have never regretted it for a moment. We are in the real estate development business and use 6 systems networked with 3 HP Color printers on a 100/1000 mbit ethernet routers and switches, and can tell you we never, ever have a problem of any consequence in either the O/S, compatibility on the web, or with applications such as Adobe, Microsoft and Intuit.
Computer Rocks - Amazon Customer Service Sucks
As others have noted, the memory configuration is wrong. Good luck trying to get Amazon to claim responsibility for the error. Customer Service says it's their policy to post what's provided to them from the manufacturer (right or wrong) and will not make good on any errors because "it's not their fault."
Dream Machine
This is an amazing machine.I've owned a few macs and when the 24" came out I thought "Oh, I don't think it's worth upgrading" until I saw one at the apple store.Within seconsd of seeing it I knew I had to get one.

A good economical choice
This is a quick, quiet machine, and so far it works for me. A relatively new model, I was told it was the replacement for the1020, but I'm not sure that's the case. In any event, it is extremely simple to set up and operate, and it doesn't take up much space. It's a big improvement over my inkjet, an HP deskjet 960c. I figure my cost is about 5 cents a page. So far, highly recommended.
Highly impressed....up to now
I am impressed by the performance of this machine, for the following reasons:

Fantastic!
With some trepidation, I made the big switch from PC to MAC. It takes a little getting used to, but so far, so good! The 17" iMac is gorgeous and does what it is supposed to do. The Dual Core processor is a nice touch, it is very fast. The 1gb of standard RAM is sufficient for most, and if you need more, it is upgradeable to 3gb. There is a user-accessable panel so you can install the memory yourself. I would have liked a larger hard drive, maybe that is something I can upgrade in the future. The slot loading Super Drive does it all and is very cool--no trays to malfunction or break off. The system comes with a cool little remote control that attaches magnetically to the side of the monitor when not in use. You can access the multimedia functions of the computer with the remote via Front Row. The only complaint I have about the remote is that the battery was completely dead when I received the package! What's up with that, Amazon??? The keyboard and Mighty Mouse are cool and sleek. I don't know how long all this white is going to look good in my house, but here's hoping. The cable for the keyboard is not long enough, so if you want to maintain the minimalistic look of the iMac, I would suggest going wireless. The display is crystal clear and bright--great for watching DVDs. The built-in speakers are OK, there is some room for improvement there. The included software is pretty good, but they only give you a test drive of Office 2004; a full version would be much nicer! The iSight camera built in on the top of the display is pretty cool, and the Photo Booth software is fun to play around with. All in all, this is a good deal for the money--I would recommend!

full of bulls...overpriced gimmicky gadget
4 stars for neat factor, 0 stars for price.in 2006 you now know why sony sucks at portable electronics, they not only missed the boat, they still think their original sony cassette walkman is still the bomb.for half the price you can pick up any smart phone with ten times the features. file this under mini-disc, memory stick, and beta along with the soon to be defunct blu-ray.a strong brand getting weakened by its own products... who's in charge there anyway???(although for $50 to $99 i can see this item flying out the door.)
Best Skype Phone
This device gets a lot of critism for limited feature, and that is true.HOWEVER, this is the best Skype phone on the market.I bought it and then lowered by cell phone bill.Since it cost as much and any other Skype wi-fi portable phone, just think of more as a high-featured skype phone than a low-featured communicator.Definatly worth the purchase.
Good Wi-fi Connectivity But a Caveat
The audio quality using SKYPE is very, very good. Battery life is so far exceptional, particularly with regard to the Mylo as an mp3 player. But what is troublesome so far has been my inability to make video that plays acceptably by the device.I have used PSP Video 9 and InterVideo to Go to produce mp4 video which the player invariably plays, but the end result is a pixellated catastrophe.Playing the same mp4 files with QuickTime causes no such problems. I have downloaded mp4 files made by Sony's proprietary Image Converter 2 Software; these work well in the Mylo.

Acceptalbe but not a great investment.
I got this free from HP when I bought a computer. I suspect HP sells these printers so cheaply because they make bigger money selling you ink.
good for light use
For the price I paid ($40) its a good all in one machine especially for me because I use it only a few times a week so it has been serving the purpose just fine for me.
HP - Bad printers, bad service, and a bad name.
Bought this all-in-one printer and the install disc was bad. Prints test page every time I turn it on. Won't print. Jobs get stuck and cannot cancel. Spoke with customer service for 1.5 hours! Yes, that long. They would not refund me and told me that I should have did a better job researching their products. They got that right. All I could get was a refurbished replacement that also performs like crap. HP has lost a customer forever, and I am making it my mission to share with everyone how terrible they are with products and customer service. Canon, meet your next customer.
