No doubt HP (Compaq?) did a good job translating market needs into a specification. The problem happened when they went into production.
1-0 out of 5 stars Featured function didn't work
1. Spec says that it supports SD memory card. After inserting 2 GB Card, the battery drains & I was not able to use the unit even once.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent printer!
I also have a DeskJet 6980 and loved it.Very fast, USB, ethernet, bluetooth, and wireless connectivity in a built in print server to boot.I just bought this 6980dt from Amazon because I needed the duplexor and the 250 sheet tray is a bonus. It all installs so easy and the speed is very hard to beat.It is quieter than previous printers I had here and also has a great duty cycle. Everything I need in the best of it's class.I highly recommend it.This is the 2nd one I bought, Mom will get the 6980, and both installed very, very easily.

1-0 out of 5 stars After 4 hours with tech support, it's going back!
We're running a network with 2 desktops and a laptop all running Windows XP.I picked this printer because it was networkable, and the wireless feature was particularly enticing. The paperwork that came with the printer was of no help in setting up the printer on the network. After holding for 30 minutes for tech support, I spent well over 3 hours with a techie trying to get even 1 of the computers printing. I do have to commend the patience and perseverence of the tech I spoke with, but unfortunately he was unable to help me.By the time I gave up, and he was out of suggestions, I had only managed to get the laptop to print by plugging the printer directly into the wireless router, which made it invisible to the desktops, and therefore of no use to me.Upon further investigation, apparently HP printers will only work in a network with "HP-compatible" routers and hardware.I'm not going to replace all the hardware for the sake of a printer, so the printer is going back.I'm very frustrated at this point, and will not be buying another HP printer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Printer: Quality through and through
I absolutely love this printer and it's capabilities...

4-0 out of 5 stars Not an HP item, but it still does the job.
I was a bit thrown in the beginning because the item shown when purchasing is the original HP ink in the original packaging. This item does NOT come like that. It's separately boxed, and from what it looks like, it was a cartridge that was just refilled.Honestly, I don't really care. It's for my printer at home, and it does just as good of a job as the original printer cartridge that I had, for way less money.I will definately buy again. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Feeder issues
The feeder on this printer does not work as I expected based on previous experience with HP printers. Printing labels has been the most frustrating. The feeder pulls the label sheet in crooked, or it pulls it too far in, or not far enough in. I have also experienced the problem of the feeder pulling 10 sheets in at once.

1-0 out of 5 stars Jams a lot
It's an ok machine for occasionally printing a few sheets of paper. But the paper feed is really poor, often pulling in a whole bunch of sheets at the same time. And if you need to print envelopes don't bother; very often it jams up. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great little printer
This printer is a great inexpensive way to be able to print photos on the go.
4-0 out of 5 stars nothing is perfect!
this is very close. simple to understand...even simpler to operate...and terrific quality prints.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Prints from a Small Package
This is a handy printer, neat and small. You can insert your camera's memory card right into the printer and print out your photos. Of course you can only print out four by six prints, but that's one of the sacrifices because the printer is so small. However, it's size makes it easy to take on trips, after all you can hardly lug around a full size printer when you're taking the family to Disneyland. And there is one big plus and that is that they photo are pretty darned good, especially if you use high quality paper. Convenient and cheap too, what a deal. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent update
iLife 06 is a worthy upgrade. With iWeb, I was able to generate a completely new site from scratch very easily. The upgrades to iPhoto, iMovie, and iDVD were also welcome, with both speed and feature improvement.

3-0 out of 5 stars Enahnced features, new apps, so what.
I've been a Mac advocate since I switched from Windows to Mac in 2003 and may even consider myself a Mac biggot howeveer, I'm not that impressed with iLife 06 as I'm not really gaining any noticable functionality, features. The new program iWeb is a concept thats been done successfully by two others, Sandvox and RapidWeaver. In either case, their functionality and features far outweigh that of iWeb and give me no reason what so ever to use iWeb.I am a .Mac subscriber and am even thinking that's becomming a waste of my money as I'm not that impressed with their email system but thats another story.
5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing.

5-0 out of 5 stars Not bad for the price...
For its price, this is a work horse of a printer. Small, compact, space saving design. Fast and quiet as well. Only problem, as one reviewer mentioned earlier, is that it doesn't print well on labels for some reason. So I guess if you're just printing on regular paper, this one will do the trick.

1-0 out of 5 stars Very disappointed

5-0 out of 5 stars Great (but spendy) monitor
I bought this because I tried another monitor, and it had an input lag issues that made it unusable to me (I'm sensitive to that sort of thing).I am a perfectionist, so I decided to pop some extra money for quality.Well, I have to say: I think Sony really does deliver outstanding quality with this product.
3-0 out of 5 stars 3rd replacement, dead pixels on every one of them
First monitor, it has 8 dead pixels on it. I called Sony, they ship me a replacement monitor after 1 month. First replacement monitor has 26+ dead pixels, so I called again... They sent another one, which has 1 dead pixel but pinkish color on 4 sides of the screen. Then... i call again.. they sent 3rd replacement monitor, no pinkish color but I still have 1 dead and 1 stuck pixel on the screen. The dead pixel is fine with me, but the stuck pixel is one big bright dot sitting where is noticeable. Whenever I watch movie on the screen, I can see the stuck pixel especially in dark background. Why does it has to be me getting all the bad monitors?? I doubt I will purchase another Sony monitor ever again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent
I've had this monitor for 4 months now and I'm very happy with it. The difference with space on my desk is huge, going from a 19' CRT. The stand is well made and looks good as does the overall product. The tilt feature works great too. I returned the 1st one to BestBuy after 3 weeks because I found it cheaper from newegg. Both monitors have had zero dead pixels. I haven't expereniced any pink problem, whatever that is. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Get a free iPod Video instead!
Why settle for less, when you can get a brand new original iPod Video 60GB for Free! I got mine from this web site:nocostnow.info/ipod-video

5-0 out of 5 stars The return of the master...
It was the next logical step in the evolution of the iPod: a color screen. While this was an expected step, most rumor sites were predicting the latest incarnation of Apple's market leading music player to bridge into video, which was saved for the full-blown fifth gen iPod. Instead, Apple opted for a simple addition to take advantage of the color screen and its capabilities. You can also display images on an external monitor should you decide you want to go that route...
5-0 out of 5 stars iPod is an excellent and elegant tool
This (60 Gb iPod Photo) is my second iPod (the first, a G4 40Gb was pickpocketed from my napsack in the NYC subway - beware) and I've had it over a year.Looking over the spate of recent negative reviews here prompted me to respond. Most of the shrieking pans and drooling raves are divorced from reality.I think it's important to point out that iPod is a tool and only a tool - a portable music player - a compact digital device with much in common with a laptop computer. It is highly configurable and the user has many choices about how to encode music - which affects the final results a great deal.
