Outstanding Value.
I bought this at the end of July and am most pleased with it. I play a lot of poker and do a lot of word processing and am relieved to find that all the software/delay/shutdown problems I used to have are now definitely things of the past. The RAM is sufficient for just about anything a normal person needs to do; although, I'm not a very normal case as I often have 8 tables of poker, Word, Mozilla, Real Player, and Internet Explorer open at once which makes this item a multi-tasker's dream. GATEWAY

Pretty good for price.
Did not have any bad problems like last person, he must have had a bad hard drive.Came with media center edition, for what your paying id say you get your moneys worth.Came with 512 MB of ram, gonna get 2 gigs in addition to what i have, add up to 4 gigs of ram.

Nothing but problems
This computer hasn't worked right from the beginning. When it worked, it was great, and for that reason, I give it a 2. I've restored the system three times and now gateway tells me I need a new hard drive, and that I should have it in two business days. I ordered it over a week ago, and it's still not here. I called gateway to complain, and nothing but a run-around. After more than two hours of phone time, they finally confirmed that it was in stock, but couldn't commit to send it to me overnight. So it "should" show up next week.

You Need the Patch
This is a GREAT computer, and well worth the price.But, you DO need a patch to solve the video stutter.The problem is tech support at Gateway.It took me 6 calls over 2 days to finally find someone who knew what they were talking about.The first 5 people I talked to knew nothing of this problem, or the patch.I was just ready to take it back, and decided to call tech support one more time.The person said immediately he knew of the problem, and emailed me a link to the AMD patch.Since loading that, this system has been all I've wanted, and more.
GT5032--Fixing TV problem
I've had the computer for about 2 weeks, and so far it's been a good performer for me. I initially had the stuttering and freezing TV problem other had, but when I updated Media Center to the latest patch and the AMD X2 and Nvidia drivers to the latest versions, the problem went away immediately. I bought it for under $800, so to me, the computer was a great deal.

TV segment faulty
Bought a GT5032 and got a replacement for it because the TV tuner was faulty out of the box.The replacement was faulty too.The TV tuner is the ATI Theater 550 Pro TV Tuner.Techs worked on both,including downloading software from ATI but the TV picture continued to skip/stutter and eventually it would freeze after about 30 minutes.I'm returning the second one for a refund. ...
