Great Calculator Overall
This is a pretty powerful calculator that's in the same league as the TI-89. And if you prefer RPN, like I do, then you'll have to go for this one. The build of the calculator is much improved from the HP 49g+ and the feel of the keyboard is similar to that of the HP 48g, although the keys are harder to press and the legends are painted on instead of double shot molded. The calculator does feel sturdy but the plastic makes it feel cheap. The symbolic integration and differentiation doesn't always work well and some nasty integrals will give nasty results. The TI-89's table lookup might work better for some integrals but I'm sure this calculator can integrate some integrals that the TI can't handle. However the calculator is much faster then the older 48's and the CAS is much improved in terms of usability. 3D graphing is so smooth and fast... although I doubt I'll be doing anything heavy on a small calculator when computers are prevelant. This is not a perfect product, but neither is the TI-89 or the HP-48G. Highly recommended for any scientist, especially the chemists out there who hate math, like I do.
Power for now AND the future
I have been an HP calcualtor user for the past 22 years. After I went through two battery chargers on my dad's TI-59 that he gave to me, I gave it back to him and bought an HP 41CX.I'm STILL using that calculator today, and I use it virtually every day.
An HP Calculator to be Proud Of
I thought that I would never own another HP graphing calculator after I purchased an hp49g some years ago.I am a huge fan of RPN and own an hp33s which I think is great for its features and usability. The hp50g is not for the beginner, this is a power calculator for college students in math or engineering, professionals, and firmware hobbyists. This calculator just works out of the box.The keys are firm but responsive, unlike the hp49g which required lots of force to activate the buttons. Also I haven't been able to find any errors in the calculations, also unlike the hp49g which required a firmware upgrade to correct blatant math errors.I think this latest model restores some hope for hp's future offerings - it's not just a printer cartridge company any more...

Pretty good so far
I was a bit nervous about buying this printer because there were no reviews yet on Amazon and my wife has had all kinds of software problems with an HP Photosmart printer that she bought last year (against the advice of dozens of Amazon reviewers). But after looking around a bit, I decided that the HP LJ3050 looked like the best all-in-one laser machine for the money. And I really loved my previous all-in-one, the HP LJ3100, which had served me well for 8 years.

Editorial Review If you bought yourself a financial calculator during the 1980s, chances are it was this bad boy. Nothing has changed since its introduction--it still uses Reverse Polish Notation (RPN), is easy and versatile in programming, and has a thin, sturdy casing. Certainly, there's been newer, fancier calculators introduced since, but there's something to be said for the quality of classics. Read more

Black Ink Anyone?
There are so many times where the actual ink, can be the difference between a good copy, and a not-so-good copy on paper. With HP black ink cartridge #21, it is very convient, and easy to setup into your HP deskjet 3930 series printer. This cartridge is very inexpensive, and affordable for HP printers. I think of it as a must for your HP printers. While there are cartridges that are difficult to open, and install into your printers, this one installs in a snap. I really recommend this for my new HP printer, and so will you if you own a HP printer for this ink as well.

Good functions, bad display
I bought this calculator a few years ago for a finance class, and it was easy to use and performed well. I am now taking some other classes that require present value calculations, so I dusted off the calculator. It worked for about a week before the display started malfunctioning. I bought new batteries as other people did, but that is not the problem. I also reset it in the various ways described in the manual, but the display was still malfunctioning. It is very disappointing since the calculator was not actually used that much.
PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY...
I have owned this calculator for 3 months and the dispay is no longer working properly.Parts of the numbers have "burned out" so only parts of the numbers show now.At first I thought it was the batteries.SO I bought replacements and that was NOT the problem. It is now completely useless. At $30, this calc is 10x's more than what a basic calc costs, so that is no excuse for such a poor quality product.PLEASE read the reviews - they all say the SAME thing.I was a fool for buying this.I hope this will help you.
Not Reliable, but highly useful.
Recently the screen on my HP 10bII Financial Calculator stopped working. At first I thought I simply needed new batteries, unfortuntally this was not the case.I owned it for just over two years before it broke down on me.So what did I do?I purchased another one. While I am disappointed with the reliability, I find it to be a highly convienent useful calculator.

The Gold, uh, Silver Standard in Financial Calculators
No, the quality heft and feel of the original (1981) 12C calculators made in Oregon, USA, is not quite there in the latest "Made in China" incarnation. But just about everything else is better than the original, including speed of program execution (3-5X faster), number of programmable steps (now 400), and additional support for Algebraic input mode on top of the default RPN. Now it even has an Undo function, albeit one of fairly limited usefulness, in addition to the fairly useful backspace function. This thing is still the "gold" standard in its category, with a silvery finish or otherwise.
Some kinda cheap look
I needed a financial calculator and I had received a lot of good feedback from 12c owners. This added to my experience with two HP calculators one 15c and one 48G, told me I couldn't go wrong with this special edition.
An EXCELLENT Choice for a Financial Calculator or 12C Upgrade!
This will sound crazy to everyone except those like me, but I have become an HP 12C FANATIC because of this calculator. I have gone through the entire manual (with the exception of programming) and thoroughly enjoyed learning all of this calculator's features.

Only RPN calculator allowed when I took the PE
If this hadn't been the only RPN calculator allowed, I wouldn't have purchased it.I agree with all of the other reviews regarding the horrible "key action." In addition, in my exerience the calculator has a much short battery life than my older HPs, a general flimsey feel, and I had no confidence in the results of my calculations (due largely to the key action).I did pass the PE exam, but my lack of confidence in the calculator (even though I bought it and used it at work for 6 months before the exam) added a lot of unnecessary stress to the experience.
mr
you really don't need to buy this product if you don't have time to read through its text-book like manual.
HP 33s the 15c lives on
I have had this calculator for almost a week now. I am currently a junior level mechanical engineering major as well as a math/science tutor. I have four other hp calculators, the 30s, 48g, 49g+, and my favorite, a 15c. I have to tell you that i am a huge fan of the 11c and 15c calculators. I think that they are the perfect blend of size and functionality. I also like my 49g+ a great deal. Due to the increasing popularity and value of the 15c, I was looking for something similar that I could throw in my back pack and take to school with out the fear of it being stolen or distroyed in some insane scooter accident. This calculator interfaces exactly like the 11c and 15c. It has the exact same program interface as well. Programming this thing is fun and easy. It makes you feel like a hero to be wizzing through some of these lengthy formulas while others are frantically pushing buttons. It even one-ups the old dogs by offering a way to imbed messages and equations in your programs. It also can prompt you for variable inputs instead of storing the variables before you run the program. In short, I love this thing. I am shelfing my 15c for the collector value. Also, I understand that there are 20 some odd years of improvements between the 15c and the 33s, but it is funny to program in the same equasions and watch how the 33s instantaniously displays the result, while the 15c flashes "running" for 10 seconds. Buy this calculator, its amazing. Learn to use RPN. It will make you smarter, lol, maybe not, but it will make you examine long math problems much more efficently. This is a great machine with a great lineage. Maybe it helps that I live in Corvallis Oregon where the 10c series was birthed and have talked to some of the engineers who built these things, but i love them. If you are looking to put away a vintage calculator that is increasing in value without learning a whole new operating system, or are in the market for a super fast super versitile programmable scientific calculator, this is your best bet. Don't wait till the FE exam to get it. You can master programming this thing in a few hours if you know RPN, and a couple of days if you don't.

HP PhotoSmart C3180 - Excellent!
My Epson Inkjet died and I needed a new printer pronto. Tried HP because unlike Epson, you get a new print head with each cartridge plus the Epson inkjets have a bad history of drying out from infrequent use and completely dying, like mine did.
THE 3RD TIME IS THE CHARM--SO FAR, SO GOOD....
This is my 3rd purchase of an HP All-In-One Printer, Scanner, Copier. I owned the PSC ALL IN ONE 2100 for 3 1/2 years until it coughed and died last month. Then September 18, 2006, bought the F380 HP, it was dead on arrival. Said I would "NEVER" buy another HP. Well, I ended up bringing the F380 back and getting the HP C3180. So far, so good. I have owned this printer since Sept 19, 2006 and it is doing great as yet. Scans flawlessy, prints everything, including pictures perfectly. Printer is quiet and copies quickly! The only things SO FAR that I can say negative about this is that it DRINKS INK! The reason I gave this 4 stars and not 5: 1) Drinks Ink 2) I miss the old software that the previous HP All in Ones came with, the newer photo software is bare bones at best. Bought MS Picture It as it has more features. 3) Have only owned this about 3 weeks. I plan to do an update on this should it "DIE" on me...Till then...
A pefect home printer
I installed the printer drivers on two PC's.Enabled file and printer sharing through my network cards.Connected through a linksys router.I was up and running in less then 20 mins.

Good hardware, sorry software
The hardware on this printer is excellent. It shares the same toner cartrigde as the 1320. However, the software sucks, sucks, sucks. If you plan on using this with one or two computers in a single room, you should be fine. If you plan on using this in a business environment, you will be stymied.
Good basic multifunction, but Brother beats it for features!!
Having owned an HP 3330 multifunction (from 2002) I thought this new 2006 model can only be better.Well, it is in some ways....I guess.

The Best B/W Laser AIO with ADF for SOHO
After having different AIOs including Brother 7820N and Samsung SCX-4521F I just I love this HP model 3055. This is what makes it better then the rivals:
Perfect for my home office
I love this all in one, it's a little big, but much better then the brother 7820N I got first, while the 7820N is smaller, 7820N had some page curl and eats 1032 watts at peak which kept tripping my computer's APC, this unit does not have paper curl and only hits 300 watts peak which is well below my circuit capacity. I would recommend this unit over all MFCs on the market, and with the currect 50% rebate going on for OCT, it cannot be beat for the price. If you need a B&W laser all in one, this is the best.
Fantastic Multi-Function Device, Solid Functionality
11/16/06: I have already scanned over 1000 documents on this machine in the last few days. After dealing with a multitude of configuration options and issues, it has performed solidly as a scanner. It did experience many paper Jams using the Auto Doc Feeder, however, you can reduce the frequency of these jams by NOT scanning through a wireless network - which tends to cause jams due to wirless network interference that delays communication between the mfc and your pc. Using the USB port, the jams were much less frequent.

Wonderful "bang for the buck" camera and printer!!
I purchased this camera printer combo for my daughter's 16th birthday. The price was unbeatable. The camera has a ton of features, and the pictures are beautiful, and crystal clear. The printer is tiny and portable, great for a teenager, and it hooks up easily to the TV to view/edit/print the photos. She was able to print pictures of her party for her friends to take home with them.
Real Camera for Real People
This camera is best among its class. The LCD displace is so brigh and high resolution. All buttons are very well organized so easy to use. Special flash recycle so fast and strong makes the shooting indoor and dark area an experience. The software menu is so easy to reach. I got SLR Pentax Digital Camera before, but can't tell the difference in picture quality.
Quite a solid performer!
I purchased this camera-printer set for my husband about a year ago. It's performed very nicely over the last 8 months. The only thing is that taking close-ups can be a little bit tricky and the battery life seems very short between charges. Otherwise, I would buy it again.

Horrible quality
I bought this camera 4 months ago. The on/off switch no longer works and the camera is a piece a trash now.I contacted HP support.Unfortunitely, it only came with 90-day warrenty. So I was offered to pay $115 to exchange for a used one, imagine that!.That ends my desire of buying any product from HP.
A good camera for the casual photographer
I got this camera about 4 weeks ago. I've been using it as much as possible and I like it. It's easy to use, almost point and shoot. I have limited knowledge in photography, so this is good for me.
Ok, but could be a lot better.
We wanted a simple, easy to use digital camera and the guy at Circuit City recommended this one.We just took it on our trip and while it worked ok, I wish we would've shelled out a little more and gotten a better camera.

it's a lemon
I was ready to really love this pda. It's nice and thin, feels good in the hand and was the cheapest PDA with wireless. I mainly needed it to check my email when i'm out and about.
Works as designed...mostly
It does everything they sayt it does. My only quibbles keeping this from 5 star status is Windows Media Player insists on loading media into the small internal memory rather than my 1 gb sd card. And the wireless occasionally does not connect to my access point, dropping th ewep key settings when it doesnt connect right away. One other flaw is the terrible IR range.
Bravo!
This is an extraordinary, cute and very well priced pocket PC which I am sure you will also love once you take it in your hands. It offers various operations and is small enough to put it in your pocket. I am very, very satisfied with it and I want to congratulate HP for yet another great product!

Great Little Printer
I have been very impressed by this printer for the price. It zips through pages and looksa lot better than the Brother and Samsung purchased by our office.I am using it on Mac OS 10.4.7 & 10.3.9, but installations at the office in 2 Dell XP Pro PCs went without a hitch. The noise level strikes me as pretty quiet, especially compared to the old HP LJs that I used to support.
Works great, even XP x64 support
I have had great experience with this printer.I even bought a jet direct card for it, and and it works great.I recently installed XP 64-bit only to find there were no drivers for this printer supported. However, I used the HP4L driver and it works good enough for my purposes.
Works for me...
...and I do mean it works. I'm planning to buy this printer for my home PC because I've been using this model daily at work for about 10 weeks. I print a high volume at work - approximately 1/2 a ream of paper every day over a 9-10 hour period. I use an entire toner cartridge about every 10 working days. The HP Laserjet 1022 has been a champ, printing mainly on standard printer stock, but also various Avery 8.5x11 label sheets - with multiple runs thru the printer, the occasional envelope, and some two-sided pages as well. The prints are uniformly crisp and clean until the toner begins to run out; by removing and shaking the cartridge, then re-inserting it, i've been able to get an extra day's printing out of each cartridge, roughly another 100-200 sheets. And it prints so fast!

Overall Great networkable All-In-One!
This is a great All-in-one if you have a home office or many computers in your home. If you don't need a networkable printer, go with the 5610. But if are going to use a printer with multiple computers, you can't beat this one. I'm fed up with Epson, so I decided to try HP. I'm glad I did. It works fine with my Apple AirPort Extreme and all my Macs.
Excellent all-in-one network printer
When I got married, my wife and I had seperate inkjet printers left over from college that were getting on in years, relatively slow, and required one of our laptops to be up and running to use. We do a decent amount of printing for grad school, and I have an older scanner that also requires a computer to be on to use. So we started looking for an all-in-one printer in a good price range with network capapbility and faster printing and copy times. Any laser printer is out of our price range, and so the HP Officejet 6310 has nicely fit our needs. The only thing it lacks is automatic duplex printing, but I have yet to see a network ready and duplex all-in-one inkjet machine. You can manually duplex print, so it is not a big deal for us, and it can also be hooked to to a single computer by USB if needed.
This is a great machine
My husband and I run a small business from our home and have owned hp printers in the past. I must say that I was skeptical about getting this printer because the hp printer software is always so buggy. I am pleasantly surprised that I was able to put the software on two separate computers with no problem.

Great value - dump your inkjet and save money per page
Went out and got one of these from Staples (an Amazon partner ahem) on special for ninety nine bucks. For that, it's a great deal. I use it on my computer running Ubuntu Linux (Dapper Drake 6.02) and it works great. Had to figure out how to use foo2zjs (foo2zjs dot rkkda dot com has the perfect workable answer to installation...I donated a few dollars for the help), but once you follow the instructions and load that all-important firmware, you are in business, even allowing you to set the printer to toner-saver mode, etc.
Horrible service when the product doesn't work
I must have got a lemon, because all the googling in the world doesn't help me with my problem. My printer goes to sleep mode and never wakes up, even after a cold restart (I'm using WinXP Pro SP2).Print jobs live indefinitely in the spooler and half the time need to be removed by restarting the spooler service. No one else seems to have the problem. However in debugging the issue, I've had to go through 4 online chat sessions with HP, totalling almost 6 hours, each session being less useful than the previous.I've tried different USB cables, different hubs, different ports, different drivers, and different computers.I've tried printing directly, bypassing the spooler, and various print processor options. All at their recommendation and assurance that it would fix the problem (they must have scripted responses they copy/paste into the chat because all the English and grammar is consistently bad).
Outstanding value printer!
Bought this model today. Light, compact and blazing fast, with razorsharp text/images and dense opaque blacks. I got it to print my black line artwork illustrations and occasional text. I compared it to the comparably priced Brother models, and chose the HP for one reason; the drum is part of the toner cartridge versus the Brother, which requires their separate drum part replaced after 10,000 prints. The Brother drum is pricey, costing more than the printer. So I went with the HP with its 10 dollar higher cartridge, but no prospect of expensive drum replacement.
