Upset Richard
Very bad choice when I bought this machine.It was not nearly as fast as advertised.The graphics were as bad as the sound.My version had no ability to go into "standby" or "hibernate" modes. When I spent 45 minutes with HP's "support", their conclusion was that something was wrong and all the software should be zapped and replaced.The response to the mouse command was erratic, slow, and sometimes, didn't happen at all. I've been thinking of upgrading my almost 3-year old HP system, which I have been extremely satisfied with, and I was thinking of buying this one. This would be an excellent system for me, overall. It's only weakness is in the video area. I don't play many games, but the Intel Extreme Graphics is roughly equivalent to an nVidia GeForce4 MMX440, which is okay, but not great. This will allow you to run the latest games on average or slightly below average settings, based on my experience. Furthermore, the GeForce4 MX cards are really just GeForce2 card rebranded as GeForce4s, so you're not even getting a GeForce3. I recently bought a GeForce4 MMX440 and so although I consider myself a knowledgeable computer user (I was a PC system and server administrator for 15 years), I'm not up on the lastest graphics stuff, and I got fooled myself on this. But for my needs this card is fine. I might not have spent the extra money for the GeForce4 Ti card, anyway. Great except for one thing...
A fantastic computer.It has everything you could want: one of the fastest CPUs on the market, plenty of DDR ram, big hard drive, USB 2.0 *and* Firewire.And it's so cheap!What could be wrong?Read more

The BEST PC

Works Great
Great computer. Works wonderful with no problems. Even on dial-up. The AMD processor is as good as the P4,s. A bit overpriced though. I think you could get the same value out an e-machines with as good of quality as HP.

Really Great Computer
This HP comupter was a really great deal for all the features it provides. I can browse the internet, burn CDs, get technical support if I need it, and do a lot of really cool things that I could never do on my old computer, which is now five years old. I am also very impressed with Windows XP because it is quick and very worth the money paid. Another thing I like is that this computer is fairly computer friendly. In the first hour I was using it, I burned two CDs, listened to music, surfed the internet and started to watch a DVD. Not only does it work very well, but it looks good too; it's very stylish. I reccomend anyone who buys this computer also gets the HP pavilion f1703 moniter because it's adjustible and has excellent color quality. Great Desktop PC
I have owned the HP Pavilion 750n for over 2 years now and I am very happy with it.It is very reliable and fast and I've had no problems with it.It comes ready for todays tasks and for tasks to come.The PC is very simple to connect together.I'd certainly recommend this PC to others and would not hesitate to purchase HP again in the future.

Fast And The Furious
Fast and the Furius is what this machine is. This machine has 1.6 ghz(old machine 233mhz), 512 mb ram(old machine 98 mb ram), 80 gb hard drive(old machine 1.96gb hard drive), 32 mb video card(old machine 4mb svga video card), cd-rw(old machine no cd-rw), 16x dvd drive(40x cd rom drive. My old computer [stunk] but this computer is very dependable with xp. I have had no glitches in the last 5 months I have had this computer. I play very good graphic games on this system and nothing happens like when I play on my friends computers. Very good hp computer

So far, so good
It's been 72 hours since I first booted up my new HP, and so far, so good.I must admit I was a little skeptical of this machine, as my wife had a bad experience with an older Pavilion (power supply kept failing).However, I purchased an extended warranty with this machine -- something I usually don't do -- which helped my confidence.This is the six machine my family has purchased since the 1980s, and is a replacement for an old 366mHz machine.I found set-up to be very easy, and performance has been outstanding. Even my biggest spreadsheets (and I have some very big ones) are crunched with ease, and playing games are a blast. The Polk speakers and sound capabilities of the machine are great, too.I also purchased HP's new 15" LCD, which I heartily recommend.Now, if that power supply just keeps working... ... Read more

the Hp a250n is a pretty good computer.i got it after having a micron melenia max with the 1.2 athlon With Win ME on it .pretty sad.but this computer beats that by a mile An Awesome Computer Ever At An Awesome Price!
This computer has all of the digital and home needs for music, games, software, photos, and movies. YOU CAN EVEN MAKE YOUR OWN DVDS! If you got all of this on Dell, you would be spending about $2,000 dollars. Well, do the math. Its ultra fast and you never have to worry about hard drive space being used up because you have so much of it. This is the way to go for anyone! TRUST ME, IT IS AWESOME! good computer for the price
First of all, i think this the best computer for the price range (i bought for $1400).I havent had much trouble with anything at all, everything works fine (i have SuSe and XP running). As a amateur photographer, i really like the 4-1 card reader, it helps me out a lot.There are lots of USB ports, you get a firewall port in the front, making things a bit easier to reach.Read more
