The IBM T43 represents the cusp of the transitioning of brand to Levono
My T43 has been rock solid - crisp displays on my beautiful 15" screen mean I very rarely resort to my desktop any more.However, what's been truly outstanding - and worthy of note on these pages - is the integrated proprietary software bundled in by IBM and now supported by Lenovo (known collectively as "ThinkVantage").Of particular note, the ThinkVantage "Software Installer" program is a thing of beauty.You run it occasionally to keep your various drivers up to date with bug fixes and new feature releases.I've loaded down dozens of iterations with nary a blip.It's elegant yet simple engineering that has performed well for me every time.

I can honestly say that this is the greatest laptop I've ever owned. It's fast, simple, reliable, and very powerful. I'm a college kid and went out on a limb by purchasing an IBM (unlike everybody else who bought a Dell).
