The portability and battery life are killer!

CAUTION - HARD DRIVE CRASH ISSUES
My computer began having recurrent "serious errors" within a few weeks of purchase.The hard drive crashed soon after, the CD-ROM never worked.

This laptop is very user friendly, and has a lot of unique capabilities. runs much faster than others with more power
ive owned mine for over a year now, and i have owned other laptops in the meantime as well.this baby runs much faster than other budget-branded (rhymes with 'smell') machines with faster processors and twice the memory.also, i often get 6 or 8 hours out of a single charge on my battery, when the others ive mentioned were getting 2.although all of my other computers have over a gig of ram, this one has gotten by with only 512mb.

Beware an awful keyboard
There are many reasons to love this unit. It is compact but comprehensive. In rival products, you have to give up elements like built-in DVD/CD-RW if you want to get compact form; here, not so. The screen enables beautiful picture quality, important because the unit can also function as a DVD player with lengthened battery life, useful for long flights. When I used to bring it to meetings, I received many compliments on how sleek-looking it was. BUT, and this is a HUGE problem making me recommend DO NOT BUY this product, the keyboard proved to be extremely fussy. I had to spend over $1,000 on a repair, and void my warranty, because the keyboard went kaput. Sony's repair center said I must have gotten moisture on the keyboard; I can't recall it, but if something did happen it had to have been something as minor as a tiny spray from opening a can of soda or a drop of perspiration when using outside on a warm day. Just recently, the problem happened again, this time when I ran a glass-cleaner cloth across a couple keys as I wiped off the laptop screen. I showed a Circuit City store person the cloth I had used, when seeking a further repair there. He said it was unacceptable that the keyboard would be this wimpy.

Awesome little powerhouse
This was my first Sony Vaio purchase and I do not regret it.My brother owns the TR series and when I saw it I was hooked on the small, light, portability of this Vaio series as well as the power and capabilities.

Awesome starter cam...
I bought this camera in 2001 when it was $70 and it has not failed me yet. It's very small (fits in your palm) and has a detachable stand which you can stick to a table or on top of your computer. You can record short movies with sound. The software is awesome and I have yet to try out the post card feature among other things (no image editing). The best buy!
This is probably the best buy you can find anywhere. For the price, this particular webcam is a steal. It comes with a bundle of software for video editing, snapshots, and several other softwares conveniently stored on two CD's. This could also turnout as a great gift for those loved ones who are far away from you. The resolution was amazing and it works wonders for single people looking for online webcam chats! Since I bought this product five of my friends have followed my example. Highly recommended!

Surprisingly Good
I was looking into getting a new webcam to use over the Christmas weekend for distant family and friends. I was considering the Logitech and Creative products or possibly looking into an IP server based product. I suddenly realized that I had an old Intel Pro in a bottom draw that I could not really get working under Win98 when I tried several years ago. I dug it out again and found out some information on it and learnt that it's specifications were as good as any of the new ones and that there were XP drivers available so I decided to give it another try - this time on my XP system.

I love this webcam it is the best still in market!! I know they are not making anymore but still you can find it on amazon great cam for its priceee give a try It won't dissapoint you ! great quality great picture works with every windows.
