Love It
I've had this laptop a little over 3 months now. I cant complain about it at all. I've been enjoying it!! Due to me using a desktop computer for years, it took a while for me to get used to the keyboard. I never could get used to using a touch pad so I bought a mouse, haha! Overall, Im enjoying this computer.

Easy to use
I was going to buy a DVD burner but instead got the laptop with the burner in it. I had no trouble hooking the MX 6440 up to my older desk top and tranfering over 4000 photos and burning them to a DVD. I will probably never buy another desk top unit.

Like it so far, afte a month
Looked all over for sub-$900 unit with 1Gig and 100Meg+, and 64-bit processor.Never considered a Gateway, til I saw the beautiful screen, noticeably better than the HPs, etc.I'd say as good as a Sony screen.I actually like the keyboard, just a preference thing, though others appear not to like it very much.One note is to see the units with dual-core processors...they've dropped a few hundred in the past month since I bought this.Again, though, this unit is real nice for the price. ... Great laptop! Incorrect data on amazon site
This is a great laptop - I bought it to replace my apple powerbook 15" and it is faster and more powerful, yet lighter! AND it fits into my powerbook bags, and added bonus!The performance is great, the display clear, the battery life is excellent. THe amazon.com has incorrect weight and size specs. I Love this Laptop
I did a lot of research on laptops and was willing to spend up to $2500 for one.I came across the MX3560 in one of the local stores and really like the look and feel.Very solid and has a beautiful display.

This laptop in my opinion is great. The vivid graphics, and centrino technology really do add alot to this. The only thing that I don't like is the size of the memory but it works out find for me. Watch out for tablet monitor problems due to heat from the touch pad!
I purchased the Gateway CX200X convertable notebook from Gateway direct within the past month.It seems to be exactly the same model as the CX2615.I was very happy with the notebook until I realized that the display was showing an alomost imperceptible defect.I.e., there is an area of the LCD display that rests directly above the touch pad that becomes very overheated when the unit is used in tablet mode - what you will see is a tiny area that glows slightly brighter than the rest of the display.I was afraid that if this persisted overtime that it would permanently damage this part of the monitor.Needles to say that Gateway denied any knowledge of this condition (that I and my IT team discovered) and I was assessed $150 restocking fee for returning the unit.I argued that it was a design problem to no avail.

BE CAREFUL!
I purchased this computer for my brother in law. When he pulled it out of his back pack the screen had a spider crack across it. This was just three weeks after purchasing.When I contacted gateway, their warranty did not cover it, even before hearing how it happened.And to top it of they want $515 to replace the screen.The ENTIRE COMPUTER cost only $700.Gateway may seem inexpensive, but don't expect the warranty to cover ANYTHING!stick to Dell, they listen to the problem before making a decision.

Excellent buy
I have used the Gateway MX6436 notebook computer for just over 4 months and am delighted. It doesn't weight that much, has a good size screen, enough RAM power for most applications and ample space in its HDD, and best of all, for a lot less than a $1,000.-
