5-0 out of 5 stars solid, working, and not expensive
I've had this printer hooked up to both my old iMac and my new MacBook. In the year so far that I've had it, I have been little to no problems with it and i have nothing but good things to say about it. It's solid and does what I need it to do.

1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible software
The software that comes with this printer is AWFUL.It hangs up for no reason and I have to reboot my PC to clear the print queue. It has annoying behavior, for example when you print double sided it immediately presents a popup window telling you to flip the pages when the first set it finished. The problem is you can't minimize this window and do something else on your pc.You have to wait until all pages finish printing. Extremely annoying.I have had to throw away two cartridges due to the "cartridge not intended" issue.I know I installed HPs patch after the first time, but it did not work. This is absolutely the last HP product I will ever buy.

1-0 out of 5 stars Paper Jams and Unrecognized Color Cartridge
Within a month of owning this printer the paper would not feed any longer and indicated a paper jam. After researching this problem I found out that it is common with this printer. As I really don't do that much printing so I decided to manually feed the paper as others have suggested until the ink cartridges ran out and then just get a new printer. The problem is that this printer was affected by the other common complaint another month later in that the color print cartridge was suddenly not recognized and the printer became stuck in error mode.So I threw the printer away and am trying another brand.Save yourself the trouble and try another brand also. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC PDA!!!!
This was my first PDA, and I wanted to purchase one mainly as a medical reference tool.Having no prior experience with PDA's, I carefully read the reviews on various websites on a number of high end Palm and PocketPC PDA's.I was in a quandry, because the reviews were so mixed. While the majority gave favorable or so-so reviews of the various models, many were greatly disappointed and described horror stories of wasting days trying to get the product to work properly.
5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing
Ibought this one mainly for medical use. After paying I started looking for reviews and was horrified to find out that it had many OS problems
5-0 out of 5 stars HP's best pocket PC to date
This is the third iPaq I've purchased in the last 5 years. It has all the bells and whitles of the previous versions with the newer version of Windows Mobile. other than better memory management (a lot better, I might add) the only other difference Win Mobile 5 added was PowerPoint.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not the only one with PROBLEMS!
Software appears to be installed correctly -- but paper just spools through.HP website says software is installed correctly -- but ITS NOT WORKING -- Have been waiting more than 30 min to chat with online technician...There are times when the OfficeJet performs as expected -- but I would not use the words "dependable" or "works as described".
2-0 out of 5 stars An error message and scratch in the paper
I am so sorry I bought this 3-in-1 printer/fax/scanner. I get a message every time I print telling me "New HP Photo Cratridge successfully installed". I have been on the phone with HP for 3 hours with no solution.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great solution for small office!
I bought this all-in-one machine on february 2006 to cover the basic printing, copying, scanning and faxing needs of my small office, and it has gone beyond!. We use it as a network printer connected to a wireless ethernet. My partners also agree it is a great machine that delivers outstanding color and B&W high-quality documents simply and quick. The automatic document-feeder saves much time and let users copy multi-pages documents without attendance. Only one complain: there is no possible to receive faxes if the machine is off given that it has no "stand-by" mode. On the other hand, we are already dealing with the copy legal-size documents issue. Our HP-7210 is +1,800 copyes as far and still doing well. We are very satisfied.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not so happy with mine
This printer is fast.Toner cartridges are way overpriced and will be a huge cost over the years. Also, I have had problems printing envelopes- they sometime go through crooked. And after printing the fan sounds noisy and rattles. This is not the HP of the 1990's

4-0 out of 5 stars Mixed thoughts about this printer
The HP 2420 is a decent printer with some nice features but also some worrisome aspects. Let me hit the good points first:
4-0 out of 5 stars Great Printer Except for Mac 10.4 Driver
Bought the HP2420 to go with a new Mac G5. Great printer. Worked fine with Mac OS 10.3 where the driver software was provided by HP. Upgraded to the new OS Tiger 10.4.x where, unfortunately, the driver is now provided embedded in the Mac OS. Printer works fine, except that the Mac Safari browser cannot print to the 2420. When one attempts to print the printer generates an 0049 memory exception message. HP documentation says to turn the printer off to clear the memory. HP online says no driver is available for the Mac OS 10.4 since it is embedded in the OS. Catch 22--currently there is no fix available. Neither HP or Apple have responded to my complaints. Foxfire and Internet Explorer print just fine. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible reliability, horrible support
When this printer actually works, the output is beautiful. The problem is, you'll spend hours trying to get it to clear errors and print, not to mention tons of money on cartridges (because the only way we've found to clear one error is to put in new cartridges). We've tried the patches & fixes on HP's website, to no avail, and when we called tech support, they said they won't help us because we're out of warranty (printer slightly over 1 year old). We've always bought HP printers, but never again.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointment
We have had many good HP products and this one was a big disappointment. First of all, neither the copier or the scanner work, because of that you get frequent errors and it makes it difficult to even print things, so this printer has become an expencive book end.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Machine For the Money
I've had this printer for over a year now and I would recommend it to everyone. The only complaint I have is that the image zone software sucks and it always ends non responsive. I just use my other editing software. This printer has been dependable through two Christmas card printings (200 cards per year) Graduation announcements (200) and several other community projects I've been involved with. All of which have been at least 500 documents printed at once. I also use it for my everyday printing. It's actually my third HP, the 1200 series is a fine machine for the money it costs as well, I paid the top price for it when it was new and was still satisfied with the quality and ease of use. The first HP I had lasted 12 years, it would have lasted longer except for an unfortunate leaking incident which I caused. This is a great brand and a great machine for a beginner and a more experienced person. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't completely work with Acrobat
I got this to help me scan paper documents to save as pdfs to de-paper my office. Except for some difficulties clearing the rare paper jams, it seems to be fine mechanically.
5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome scanner once you get the issues worked out
I agree that I did have some problems with paper jams in the ADF.But then I noticed that it seemed to mostly happen with smaller width paper (11" long, but less than 8.5" wide) and legal size documents when trying to duplex.Well, then I read the manual (duh!) and it clearly states that the scanner is not set up to duplex legal size documents or unusual sized paper. So I thought that was a problem.
5-0 out of 5 stars wonderful addition to my office
I haven't had any of the problems the other reviewer mentioned. The document feeder has not jammed on me yet and is incredibly quick compared to my old machine.Once you customize the settings, it's one touch operation. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars GARBAGE is NOW DEFINED as THIS PRINTER
PLEASE this is a warning! Do not buy this printer!!! Avoid at all costs!! HP tech support is useless and clueless. I had it for 3 days when it started jamming 100% of the time. PLUS, as a graphic designer I need my output to be tru to scale, this junk prints a 4 inch square as a 4.125 inch square! It does NOTHING good, plus it ran out of color ink after 40 pages!!
1-0 out of 5 stars Very Aggravating
I've had one of these printers for 6 months, and the paper feed problems have grown to the point where nothing will print without jams, feeding problems and more grey hairs.I spent 30 minutes online with HP's chat technician which were utterly worthless, and decided to return this today and get a new and different printer.I've had many printers in the past, and always been very happy with HP products before, but this one has been a disastor. There is apparently a paper feeder cleaning kit that HP will send that may or may not fix the problem, but after 30 minutes of trying to get the tech to send me one, I have given up on it!I have tried two different brands of good quality paper, and had the same problems with both.Buyer beware!

1-0 out of 5 stars PAPER JAMS
This printer is awful. I have researched complaints about the 2575 and found tons of consumers with the same paper feed/jam problems. Not only does it take forever getting something printed because of the thing not grabbing the paper, but once it finally decides to feed it chews it up, causing almost half of the pages to be ruined. Great, more money for hp- paper.

2-0 out of 5 stars Great printer........
Purchased this unit when I bought a new Dell with Windows XP.I wanted a unit that had a bottom feed, capable of dual sided printing and large paper storage tray. This one has an upper and lower paper tray.It also is adpated for use with HP's PHOTO INK cartridge and regular color so you end up producing photos using a 6 color blend rather than the standard 3 and black. It also does borderless printing.Talk about FAST??? This thing will jettison the paper out of it half way across the floor if you forget to pull out the paper stopper.Color documents are really, really fast.
1-0 out of 5 stars No USB Cable???
I ordered this printer and was dismayed to learn on its arrival that it didn't come with a USB cable - a prequisite to its operation.
4-0 out of 5 stars HP 6540 Printer

1-0 out of 5 stars Not for scanning large documents
The primary problem I have encountered with this scanner is more software related rather than the scanning quality or something else hardware related.
1-0 out of 5 stars Bad scanner
I got this unit about two months ago. As other users have indicated with their units, my scanner has begun making a shrieking sound which is quite unbearable. The unit never scanned very well, and now it barely scans at all. This HP product is very attractive and well priced, but what does that mean if a piece of hardware is poor? It took me a while to figure out that the scanner was making the shrieking sound. I thought my computer was dying. I've had many scanners and never encountered anything like this before. Reading reviews here and elsewere has actually confirmed my suspicions that this is some type of design defect. I used an Agfa SnapScan 1212u for almost 8 years without a problem. I "upgraded" because I wanted a faster (USB-2 as opposed to USB-1) scanner, and a unit that had slide and film transfer capabilites. This scanner was never much faster than my Agfa and the quality is on much, much lower. Terrible. I would advise anyone reading this to buy another product.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good scanner
I've had this scanner for a couple years now and I like it a lot.It was given to me as a present from a friend. There are many things that this scanner does right, but it doesn't do some stuff properly.

1-0 out of 5 stars Frustration doesn't cover it!
Since I first wrote this review I discovered that the fault was not with the scanner but with my computer. After formatting my computer I was able to install the scanner and software without any problems.I am still learning to use it but so far I have decided not to return it.It works well and I like it very much.I apologize if my review has negatively effected anyone's choice.

1-0 out of 5 stars "Frustrating" does not begin to express my feelings!
I have now spent more than 10 hours downloading software patches, deleting programs, adding programs, & rebooting -- all to no avail. Not 1 scan has completed successfully. My system is a well maintained Dell Dimension running Windows XP-Home with 512 meg main memory and a 100 gb hard drive that is less than 25% full.I run Norton Systems Works, Corel Paint Shop Pro X and Roxio Easy Media Creator Suite 8 software without problems.I installed a HP Photosmart 8250 printer in Mar. 2006 that has performed and continues to perform well & problem free.
5-0 out of 5 stars Works wonderfully for me
Luckily for me I didn't read the negative reviews here before I purchased, or I wouldn't have the really nice 4850 scanner. Maybe I'm just lucky, but everything about this scanner has worked very well and the scans are great. The software installed without any problems, the pushbutton controls work great and the scans are fast. I would like to note that I have a computer with an AMD 3200+ CPU with 1.5 gigs of ram and lots of hard drive storage and it's set up for video (home movie to DVD) and general business use. That may be a factor in having no problems with this scanner and having only good things to say about it.

1-0 out of 5 stars printer SUCKS!
I have two of these bought at the same time.... BOTH of these pieces of s@#$%t don't feed right and I've taken them back to Best Buy to fix them/replace them only to get them back doing the same thing... and it's too late for a refund.I feel like HP and Best Buy have my b@#$s in a vise!Don't buy it.

1-0 out of 5 stars extremely unreliable
The first problem with this printer is the hp software that comes with it.You must install a program that always runs in the background called the "digigal imaging monitor"this program causes our computer to run slowly and refuses to end itself about 50% of the time, causing the computer to freeze. Also, the printer itself always misfeeds or jams or feeds all the paper through, and you must constantly stand next to it and make sure the paper feeds correctly.Don't be fooled if it works well for the first few days, it will eventually break like it did for everyone else who wrote a review. It amazes me that a brand like HP would sell a piece of s*** like this.

1-0 out of 5 stars The most frustrating printer ever
This printer absolutely refuses to operate with any consistency. It either pulls a dozen sheets of paper from the tray and clogs itself up, or only one sheet about halfway, clogging itself again. Even babying it, trying to feed it one sheet at a time proves to be an exercise in frustration.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great deal!
This is a very nice printer, especially for the price. Quick printing, good quality.

5-0 out of 5 stars HP 3930 Printer
Printer exactly as advertised. Small and easy to use. Was delivered quickly along with the black ink cartridge. It is perfect for my use.

1-0 out of 5 stars Faulty wiring
I detest this printer.I've bought quite a few printers in my day:Lexmark, Canon, and have been quite happy with most HP's, but this was the pits. The first one I brought home worked fine the first time but when I tried to turn it on the next day, it wouldn't cut on.It just died on me.I unplugged it, plugged it back it...then it worked for a little while before dying again. This time for good.I returned it, got another one...same problem.Except this time it keeps going. All I have to do is unplug it before each and every time I turn it on.Nice, huh?

5-0 out of 5 stars Really Good Product
I really love this Ipaq it has every thing I need to do my Job with. This can really replace your laptop. But if you do buy this you will need a WiFi card to connect to the internet. Hp Job well done with this Ipaq.

1-0 out of 5 stars wireless sdcard drains battery!! AVOID
I just thught people should know- It claims to be expandable with sd cards-while true to an extent. I purchased an expensive sd network card; now i can surf. Only for about ten minutes, because sd cards drain the battery FAST!! Now I wish I had saved up for a Dell Axim which has the network built in. My point is you get what you pay for! I hope this helps you avoid a mistake I made- thought i could save a few bucks (what a dummy don't be fooled I give the 2215 a failing grade)

1-0 out of 5 stars battery is very bad
This product has one BIG flaw. If the battery goes dead everything is lost. The back up battery does not work. There is no way to protect yourself if you remove the battery unless you back up daily. The battery case opens often and the battery falls out. I have lost data so many times that I am replacing this product. I like all the other features. The battery problem is a deal breaker. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars The worst printer I've ever owned.
Do not purchase this printer! I have only owned this printer for a year, and here is a list of the problems I have had with it in this short time:
2-0 out of 5 stars SHOULD HAVE STUCK WITH AN EPSON!
Purchased from Apple store and wouldn't recommend. Can't get fax function to work automatically because of answering machine and therefore still have to switch on and off to receive faxes.Scanning ability is not user friendly as far as switching quality of scan and then editing image.Copy function is fine for 1 page.Sound's harsh I know and it prints fine, just so many better/more user friendly options out there.

1-0 out of 5 stars HP makes me SAD. Here is a Pro/Cons List.
I have had the 2610 for about a year now. To communicate my experience/opinion of the HP 2610, I will make a Pro/Cons list. I realize my review may be one-sided, but I am only speaking from experience.

1-0 out of 5 stars do not buy
doesn't work properly over a network - paper get jammed often - needs to be restarted - printer drivers are an issue - instable bonjour connection - cannot handle mixed networking on MacOS or Windows - had to get it exchanged twice - going thru nightmare of tech support from india spent hours arguing over the phone - they have no clue and do not keep any record of the case. do yourself a favor never buy it and if you already did though if it breaks trash it buy a canon and pray and enjoy your day.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Printer For The Money
This printer was purchased for use in an office environment. It's used often everyday, so it has to be dependable. This one has performed nicely so far. I would purchase another one without hesitation.

5-0 out of 5 stars Comment/Update on DISenchanted's review
I have not yet purchased this printer, which I am strongly considering as a replacement for my ancient HP Laserjet IIIp.
