4-0 out of 5 stars All the fun and action with no mush
This movie is like a study of Bond and Bourn "The Bourne Identity (TV Miniseries) (1988)", action movies. Toss in the innocent enthusiasm as in "If Looks Could Kill (1991)", There are gadgets women plots and sub plots. But this movie is mostly about action. This is not one of those thinking movies or really a talkie. It does hold your attention.

4-0 out of 5 stars The film's serviceable but maybe not the best
Comic book movies is another trend in Hollywood that's slowly starting to die out. Like horror movie remakes and ultra-gory new ones to the CGI-animated ones, Hollywood always goes to what's the next big thing. Granted there is the occasional oddball that completely gets a cult following but you mainly see a trend and familiarity. When X-Men became a surprise hit, everything got bought up. Turns out though that Hellboy was actually a pet project for years by Guillermo del Toro, director of films like Blade II and the recent Pan's Labyrinth. Upon watching the film, you get the feeling that it's not outright terrible like Daredevil, it's just you were almost hoping it'd be a tad better.
4-0 out of 5 stars not perfect but good enough
Let's be blunt, the movie is, in essence, a little lumbering and flawed and has a rather odd climax. The beginning is overlong and vaguely too fantastical, but once you realize this is a very different world, a comic book really, and normal rules don't apply, it can be forgiven. In fact most of the flaws can be forgiven because of Ron Perlman and what he brought to the picture.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good but Not Great
An overall good movie. In a day in which every other comic book is getting its own movie, this is better then most.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great camera
Someone complained about the battery draining. My battery isn't draining and works great. The only two negatives I can find is that the picture stabalization feature doesn't appear to work and all ofthe manual controls are on the lcd screen so they're hard to use without shaking the camera some.
4-0 out of 5 stars Not bad but it has since been discontinued...
Just got this at the Sony Outlet at an amazing price (they wanted to get rid of this model)for $280.The outlet only sells "refurbished" items so I was kinda nervous in purchasing this from them.I got the $20 3-yr repair plan (do not bother with the replacement plan!AON Risk is the carrier and they are a hassle) just to cover myself. There were a few tiny scuff marks on the refurbed HC20 but other than that nothing else.I tested it extensively and it works like a charm.
1-0 out of 5 stars fine camcorder, terrible customer service
After receiving this camcorder, which is fine, I read a lot of reviews about the poor battery camera. I was especially concerned about reviews of the battery lasting only 8 minutes.

1-0 out of 5 stars Just Pray you Never Need Warranty Service!
Consumers, be careful. I purchased my Sony VAIO VGNFE550G less than six months ago at Circuit City in Birmingham, Alabama. This product worked fine until a few days ago. Then, suddenly, the cd drive wouldn't read a disk. Called tech support and they advised me that I would have to perform a system recovery before they would even consider replacing drive! They want me to completely wipe my system, because they don't want to spend money on a new drive.I refused, and they agreed to overnight a
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Choice I made
I bought this laptop not long ago in March, If I can recall. It's a fantastic laptop and I have to say, I spent my money well on it. It comes with the Intel Duo Core Processor for multi-tasking which is a great thing, but if you're a gamer like me, beware that this is not the best. I suggest you getting the other laptop by Sony that lets you change the video chip. The hard drive holds 100gb of data, which is a good thing, but I find that it's not enough as I have a lot of songs and movies on it. The processor's speed is great! It runs smoothly. When you power on your laptop, the intro/logo appearance screen tends to take awhile to load before proceeding to the Windows XP screen. I don't know why its taking that long since my other sony vaio laptop, that is a centrino that doesn't have the duo core, pass that screen really quick. I guess that's the only bad thing that I don't like. The screen is 15 inch, which is pretty good with the brightness of the screen its giving. Before you do anything else on the laptop when you first buy it, I suggest making a recovery disk using the recovery wizard since Sony doesn't package a pre-made disc. I guess this is all I basically have to say about this laptop. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars great while it lasted (14 months)
Great images for 14 months. Then I got a dialog box that said the video heads were dirty and I need to run a cleaning tape - which I bought and ran per instructions.Didn't clear up.Went to Sony online help, was told to run it again.Didn't clear up.Tried a few more times, didn't clear up.Told it needs repair - $211.Guess maybe I should drop it in the water like the last guy whose TRV460 is indestructable.Sony should be ashamed for not backing these things up longer than a year. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Not a bad laptop
I bought this notebook from a brick store as an emergency replacment after my brand new FS742 was stolen a week before I had to leave for South Africa. I have used this extensively for the last 2 months and am generally satisfied with it, except for one incident. A week into my trip, the DVD drive hung up and there was no way for me to re-boot the notebook. So I ended up holding the power button for a short while after which the notebook started asking for a bios level password (which I had never set) and stopped loading Windows. Extended web searches did not yield any help and I ended up taking this to Sony Support, South Africa which fortunately was close to where I was living.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great camera for the price
First of all, let me say that I am a 16 year old aspiring filmmaker. I used to use a little cheapo 1CCD camcorder that I got way back in 2002. The picture quality sucked, and last July it finally went caput and died on me. So, I went camera shopping for about 3 or 4 months.
5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Camcorder
I have had this camera for about 7 moths now and still continued to be impressed, from the features and the picture quality to the size and portability of this camera. When watched on my HDTV the picture quality is stunning when you are outside during the day cloudy or sunny (almost like being there). It is the best picture I have ever seen from a high definition consumer camcorder. The picture qualities of the hdr-hc1 are exactly if not vary close to an HD broadcast like Discovery HD Theater or ESPN HD channels. This is definitely a HD broadcast quality camcorder. If you are filming inside or lower light in general I have found that the picture quality is not as bright or as clear as the outside shots. But in my opinion it is still a lot nicer than standard definition. The 3mp digital still camera is pretty good for being on a video camera. I would not know personally because I manly bought this camera for recording HDV video. But I have used the still camera a few times and printed out the pictures on my HP photo smart printer and with the pop up flash on the camcorder the pictures came out nice and bright, vary nice for 3mp like I said, and when I do need to take a digital still I am not looking around for that camera it is right on my video camera that is a big +. I consider this video camera to be the all in one solution for HD video & 3mp stills. I have also been comparing the hdr-hc1 to the new HDV video camera that just came out the hdr-hc3 witch I have looked at best buy and played around with it. The conclusion that I came to after trying out both the hdr-hc1 & the hdr-hc3 is that they are both nice cameras, the only downsides to the hc3 is that there are no mic/headphone jacks on the hc3 and there is also no zoom ring. Which are some of the reasons that I prefer the hc1 to the hc3. Overall if you are like me and like and use the mic/headphone jacks and zoom ring this would be the camera for you. But if you do not need these features than I would go with the Sony hdr-hc3. For those who want to buy this camera better buy fast because I heard that Sony is discontinuing this model because of all the pro features on it and for the price that it is being sold for. So get one while you can because the next camera up from this is the hdr-fx1 which is 3 times heaver that of the hc1 and is over 3grand. I still continue to be impressed with this camera and think it is worth every penny. So have fun & enjoy this camera.

5-0 out of 5 stars Just Incredible - But Believe It
I bought this camera to film my son's budding music career. I am familiar with the difference between standard definition TVs and HD TVs, since I've owned a HD TV for over two years. There is no way that I was going to buy a SD camera - when this exists. For the extra money that you are going to spend above a SD camera, there is simply no comparison. The camera comes with component cables enabling the HD to come through on the TV, and it is absolutely STUNNING. Other writers have done a great job of comparing the price of this camera to other HD cameras, and the others are simply out of the range of most individuals. The HC1, while expensive, is a screaming deal for what you get. Its manual adjustability, taken away in the HC3, is quite good, good enough, I daresay, for most people's tastes. In any event, if you want that sort of control now, you are not going to get it from Sony unless you drop in excess of $3K. I am told that they are discontinuing the manufacture of this camera, so get 'em while they are still around. Though you are basically stuck either a) connecting it to the TV directly or wiring it to your computer and then to your TV, you are also completely future-proof when the new generation of HD DVD players/recorders come around, which is apparently going to take some time. But fear not gentle reader - you are prepared for anything with this camera, and it will not be surpassed certainly for the foreseeable future. As to downsides to the camera, apart from its immediate connectivity and play-back limitations, I honestly can't think of any, with the minor exception of Sony's decision (a good one from a business point of view) to make the hot shoe proprietary so that you have to buy an adapter to fit anything other than a Sony microphone or light to the top of the camera. The adapters are available, so this is a relatively minor inconvenience. Also, the use of a tripod is a must. Further, you might want to invest in a wide angle lens - I am going to. I simply love this camera. It is preserving memories for me that will never fade away or be blurry or anything less than 1080i which makes me a happy JazzDad. See you at the Blue Note. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars My Experience
For the first three months, I was extremely happy with my purchase. The quality of screen display was excellent.Unfortunately, after 3 months of use, the monitor started randomly turning off and on during use. This could happen anytime and continue up to eight times in a row.I sent the monitor for warranty repair and was told that the main board needs to be replaced with a turnaround time of one week.It has been over three weeks and now I am informed that Sony had sent the wrong parts and I will have to wait.It is very annoying to pay a Sony price premium and experience the problems that I have encountered.Sony has lost the trust and custom of my family. You may wish to read the feedback of R.V.Hatcher who has experienced similar Sony monitor quality and service problems. His feedback can be found under the reviews for Sony SDMHS75/B 17" LCD Monitor (Black).

5-0 out of 5 stars GreatBuy
I am very satisfied with this monitor. It has a great picture and great style. Monitor tilts with ease. Takes up little space and looks great. Its not too small, yet not too big. Recommend!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great LCD Monitor
I've been using this monitor for about 10 months now and have nothing bad to say about it. I've used its digital connection on a mid-range AGP Nvidia GeForce graphics card and had very nice performance, and "identical" performance using the analog connection to a low-end integrated ATI Radeon X200 adapter.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Computer!
I too have had this computer for a month, and found the previous reviewers tips helpful initially. This is in no way disparaging tothat review, but after activating the Vaio Media whatever to network my computer successfully, I had many a headache getting my two Vaios to communicate smoothly.I then had the idea to remove any pre-installed software, and, voila!A nicely running machine.Since this is my second Vaio, I should've known that Sony builds a good PC, but their software is subpar/bordering on spyware.Remove anything that they recommend, and your computer will run like a charm.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice Box, Questionable customer support
(Added comments after five months of ownership: The system does have its problems. After four months, the audio system failed to work. Going through what can only be described as the world's worst "technical support on-line service" I finally got to talk with a real technician. The motherboard had apparently fried. To Sony's credit, they sent in a new motherboard along with a technician who replaced the board and re-installed the system to its "factory" condition as a part of the warrenty. The new motherboard, however, would not work with the old "rescue disks" that were burned per Sony's instructions when the system was first installed. A brand new set of rescue disks with a new disk image had to be used.
