And while it comes standard with a 16x SuperDrive (compatible with burning DVD±R/RW and CD-R/RW discs), you can also add a second writing SuperDrive. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Misleading review by David Johnson...
What David Johnson forgot to mension was that the Dell has only ONE dual core processor. The Mac Pro has two. That will put you back much more than a lcd, tv tuner and everything else you mensioned. We're talking XEONS!Kind of expensive...
5-0 out of 5 stars Mac vs Dell price
The Dual 2.67 MacPro configured standard is $2350 today at Amazon, free ship.Add $199 for three year Apple care=$2550
5-0 out of 5 stars Mac Pro Rocks, UPS sucks
This computer is well worth the price for what you get and is a kickass workstation.Just be sure to do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars and have it shipped via FedEx.You will save yourself a headache and get your computer in one piece, on time. UPS has dropped the ball one too many times for me.Oh well at least UPS's turd brown is an appropriate corporate color. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good mid-range computer
This computer works very well for what it is.Not the fastest or most powerful computer that exists, but 64-bit dual core, 1gb ram, and a nicely sized hard drive are nothing to scoff at.
5-0 out of 5 stars Very good deal
It took amazon only 2 days - on Saturday I ordered and on Monday I laready received computer.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good base to build on.
Good hardware package for price. A step up from bare-bones, this box has everything you need for most uses. it has decent expandability with included PCIE, but I found 300w power supply too weak to run my 7600 GT graphics card. With socket 939 processors dropping in price similar units should be available for under 700 dollars. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars So quiet and tiny!
I was so surprised to see the small box this CPU came in. I love the compact build of it, it's very fast and super quiet, I can't tell if it's on without looking at the light. The only thing I wish they could've given me another CD drive like I had on my old computer. But, I'm very happy with it so far, this is my 3rd HP since my first one back in 1996.
3-0 out of 5 stars What's the Catch??
I'll tell you the catch. I just bought this today, and it has a lot of great qualities: It's compact, light, fast, but...

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Media PC
I did a lot of research before I purchased this unit.I wanted a Media PC that would fit in my stereo rack that would actually look like my other components. My final two choices were this sony and the HP.I chose the Sony because it has HDMI (I like having the sound transfered over Digital) output, which none of the other Media PCs have out there and the processor was a dual core, which means it's more up to date than other units I looked at.

5-0 out of 5 stars Windows, watch out!
I was a Mac user until 1998, when it appeared Apple was as done as three-month old bread. I gave up hope and went with Windows, fought through 95, 98, NT, 2000 and XP (never bothered with Millennium), and pretty much considered defeat.

5-0 out of 5 stars MACTABULOUS!!!
For all those people who are concerned about space restrictions and want a powerhouse computer that will not need a large footprint, the Mac Mini is the perfect solution. Packing a boatload of power into a computer yay bigger than a coaster, there is no better power/space combination in the entire computing world!
5-0 out of 5 stars fast little machine
I actually bought the mac mini at a local Apple store because Amazon does not carry the configuration that I wanted, which is:
5-0 out of 5 stars Apple Mac mini ROX. Amazon, I have concerns about.
The Mac mini is a great little machine if you want something that is cute, compact, quiet and very connected to the outside world. Don't get it if you really need a high-performance desktop machine -- it is not for World-o-Warcraft. But it's perfect for web surfing, photo retouching, ripping music, editing video and burning DVDs.

4-0 out of 5 stars A great product if you're the right buyer
Before i tell you what the iMac 17" is, let me tell you what it's not.
5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic value for a desktop machine
My kids love these (we own two) because it can runs Windows and they can play PC games. I've never seen Windows run faster.
1-0 out of 5 stars I will not purchase another Apple product in a very long time
The product is fine, but Apple probably has the worst customer support I have ever experienced.Their amount of topics on their on-line support is not broad enough. It is only helpful if you have very simple problems (like if you're having problems ejecting a CD from your drive), but for more complicated problems the on-line support is completely useless.Their phone support is even worse.I waited on the phone for 45 minutes to talk to a customer support person so he can tell me he would only help me if I paid more money.Next time I'll buy a PC with Dell or Gateway.Like I wrote, the product is fine, but part of the reason for choosing a particular PC is for customer support.Because I believe Apple's customer support to be horrid, I will not be purchasing another Apple product for a very long time. ... I bought a Mac mini last year from the online Apple Store. I also bought AppleCare with the machine. I have had nothing but problems with the unit since the first month. The video card is apparantly bad and when the machine heats up the machine freezes and the video tears and in a few more minutes blanks out completely. All you can do is pull plug and you must wait for about 20 minutes and then you can start again.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Geek Surprised
I have been a staunch PC person for years, but not necessarily a Microsoft supporter. So anyway, I get this Mac Mini on a whim to see how close to Linux the new OS is. I had no idea how cool this little Mac would be. It sounds "underpowered" in the Windows world, but it runs great! The software is great to use, and it's just full of bells and whistles. AND it took me about 15 minutes to figure out how to port Linux applications to it, and now I can run all my favorite Linux apps on it. The operating system is very polished and full of great feautures! Thanks Apple!

1-0 out of 5 stars Am I in a horror film?
I must begin by asking Amazon to provide a "zero star" rating, and to please discontinue carrying the apple brand. I have owned Apple computers all the way back to the IIe. I will NEVER buy an Apple computer again, mark my words.
1-0 out of 5 stars Power managementproblems / Crazy re-booting thing
I bought the new top of the line Core Duo and had 1 ghz RAM installed when I purchased the thing at Comp USA.

5-0 out of 5 stars (Almost) all you need for Videoconferencing
This version of the Mac mini works very well for the purpose it was bought - keep in touch with family. Be it Skype or iChat, voice and video connections are of good quality. The only surprise was that the Mac Mini does not have a microphone line in, but the iSight camera connected via Firewire has a built-in microphone, so it works like a charm.
1-0 out of 5 stars OLD STOCK
They sell old stock items which may have old software. I called Apple to register this and they told me Amazon should have NOT sold this. Apple only sells items within 90 days and this product was over 4 months.

5-0 out of 5 stars MACTABULOUS!!!
For all those people who are concerned about space restrictions and want a powerhouse computer that will not need a large footprint, the Mac Mini is the perfect solution.Packing a boatload of power into a computer yay bigger than a coaster, there is no better power/space combination in the entire computing world!

1-0 out of 5 stars Overheating problems
I only use this computer because I have to at work - It's practically useless due to overheating problems. A computer should be able to burn a cd without overheating to the point of freezing up.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT computer
I absolutely loved this computer. It has alot of extras, if easy to use, and looks great, too. The only problem is that it's a Mac and none of my programs would work on it. No stores sell things for it (they have to be special ordered). And all software for it has to be Mac software. But if you use Apple already you will love this computer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful!
This was an upgrade from a 2001 G4, which served me well, but was ready to be put to MacPasture. I LOVE the G5 iMac. I'm not a super techy girl, but I know what I like, and this works well. I run a lot of heavy programs on it, i.e. InDesign, Finale, Garage, etc. and it takes it like a man, a giant man who can eat a lot and then go swimming, without having to wait an hour first. Yeah. Anyway, the screen is clear and beautiful, it's extremely quiet, and I have had no overheating problems that I heard so much about prior to buying it.

5-0 out of 5 stars good computer so far.
This is an awsome computer..bought this from a Circuit City and the guy said it was possibly the best computer for gaming as well as school work and other things... and for gaming capability, the guy said that a good ATI Radeon graphics card(Don't know the model type) would be excelent for this computer for gaming.
1-0 out of 5 stars Dead-on arrival HP computer
I could never get this HP pc to boot even with the "assistance" of HP support. This assistance required over four hours of my time on the telephone. After the first two hours of this assistance HP sent me a recovery cd packet which took three days to arrive in the mail. It did not solve the boot problem. This required another two hours of my telephone time. HP support finally gave up and said it might be a defective hard drive. I also gave up and returned the pc as per your return policy instructions. So much for my experience with HP computers! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My first iMac
The G4 flat-panel iMac is a joy to behold and a delight to operate. This is not only my first iMac , it is my first real computer. (...)4-0 out of 5 stars Wowzers
When i first bought this beatiful imac, i was in awe. it starts up very fast, some people say 700 mhz is too slow, but thats comparing the same mhz with intel!! Power PC makes this proccesor in a totally diffferent way! everything about it is great: the programs, the hardware & its beautiful!!5-0 out of 5 stars Get this Machine
I'm a university professor and have long been familiar with Macs, which are growing in popularity in my department. Though I was currently using a Dell machine at work, I decided to make this iMac my new home machine. My uses are primarily professional: very heavy office work, making CD's, working with thousands of digital photographs, creating websites, and doing some design work. I can honestly say that in every way that matters, the iMac surpasses (and sometimes greatly surpasses) the other computers I have used.Read more
