Sony Desk Top-Vaio Model VCG-V620G Review
Outstanding computer! Technically very easy to set up. Out of the box and operating "wireless" within 20 minutes. Great screen for computing, TV and DVD-CD uses. The 20 inch screen is well worth the extra dollars. A "slight" inconvenience, discovered after one month of use, that being two of the connection ports (cable & dial up phone) are difficult to see and access without "carefully" turning the (CPU/monitor)on it's face. Don't let the price get in the way of this fast, great to work with and look at computer (CPU/Monitor/DVD-CD Player/TV all in one.

A spunky little computer
Our company is based in Japan, so we love using the small iMacs as terminals in our too-small stock room. They are prefect, very fast, connect to anything we need them to, and have all the features you expect of a Mac. The 15" model is great for people who need a compact machine that moves out of the way immediately, and the screen is also great for anyone with less than perfect vision (like me) since you can move the screen right up close to your face. Try doing that with a CRT. All in all, I love the current generation of iMacs to death.

Good bye PC's
For years I have dealt with PC's.The freezing up at inappropriate moments, the noise, how they often lag.With some nudging from my girl friend and mother who both have used Macs extensively, I looked into them, and purchased the iMac,, and I have never been so happy using a computer.It used to be a major headache just to open attachments on an e-mail, often times ending in a colorful proliferation of four letter words being bandied about.But with the iMac, the most simple things are just that simple.Sure there may be some drawbacks such as a couple of web sites have glitches when viewing, but the bottom line is that does not matter. HASN'T THE INTUITIVE EASE OF OPERATION OF PREVIOUS MACS
It pains me to rate my iMac so low because I have been a Mac booster for many years, after converting from a PC. I will say up front that I am not a computer nerd and need something simple that I can operate without reading a lot of books or going to school. Read more

Don't buy -- Sony doesn't provide upgrades
I bought one of these two months ago and was so very pleased -- even though it cost just over $2000.This was the most I'd ever spent on a PC, but it was to be the great convergence of my live(s).It works as advertised, though DVD is noisy and TV not as clear as I would like, but it is my fastest experiecne ever on a PC.It records TV and video as advertised and easily converts TV and my digital-8 videos to DVD.Although the TV tuner lacks some clarity, the DVDs are great.However, I now feel like it is a pig.Sony refuses to support or provide upgrades to Media Center Edition version 2005.Since MCE is only availabe on OEM machines, there are no other upgrade options.By all accounts this is a much improved program that should be on this great hardware.Rumor is that it would fix the TV picture clarity issue.Don't buy a Sony, even if it has MCE 2005, because they won't upgrade it.A word to the wise.... ... Best PC I've ever owned.Lots of software.Extremely quiet
I purchased this PC about two months ago with a 19 inch Sony X-brite LCD so I've had time to play around with it and I'll tell you that this PC is awesome.Having had a Dell and Gateway computer beforehand...I'd rank this particular Sony better than those other PCs.Compared to the others, build quality is excellent and Sony managed to pack a lot of hardware into a very small and attractive package.
Lots to like, but disappointing overall
I've had a fully loaded version of this computer since November 15, 2004. I use it all day every day at work and stress it out pretty heavily.
Quiet as a mouse!
Gamers, digital photo enthusiasts and home video/TV series fans will love this computer.
